CESCI is extending its activities from campus base to the field base in-order to support marginalized communities through various activities. Networking with different organizations on advocacy matters and developmental activities, helping farmers to convert to sustainable agriculture practices, organizing youth camps to mobilize youths in the villages to take up the issue of land and livelihood, advocacy to guarantee a decent shelter and a piece of land to all the landless and homeless, and providing employment training to the women self-help groups are the main activities under this program. Many bonded labourer’s who were under bondage in different parts of the country were released through a Supreme Court Intervention. They were sent back to their own villages in Tamilnadu. CESCI is trying to draw the attention of the state to fulfill its responsibility in terms of their rehabilitation.
